5-Steps to Love Yourself and Become a Better Person

You are your biggest own critics. Your life is living through your eyes and beliefs. Your thoughts, your interactions with people, and your interpretation of relationships, actions, and words make up of who you are.

What’s your relationship with yourself? How much do you love yourself? Have you taken care of yourself recently? You’re the only thing that matters the most. In reality, the more you understand and love yourself, the more confident you get in your life.

Here are the 5 steps you can take.

#01 Adopt a Healthy Lifestyle – Loving yourself starts with a series of actions and habits that you embed into your everyday life.

  1. Setting up Proper Sleep Time
  2. Exercising Regularly
  3. Eating Healthy Food
  4. Meditating and Reflecting
  5. Writing Journals
  6. Setting up Good Daily Habits and Routines
  7. Spending Time with Friends and Families

#2 Accept Who You Are

We have all kind of not so good feelings, sadness, anger, hate, pain, fears and worries, negativity, shame, inferiority, and etc. We’re experiencing self-doubt in our lives. By accepting our flaws and mistakes, we start to accept ourselves. Learning to work out with our own personal bumps and traumas, we begin to move on and see the possibilities.

#3 Develop a Passion or Knowledge

#4 Practice Gratitude and Appreciation

One simple way to practice appreciation is to get in the routine of writing a gratitude journal. You could write down the things you’re grateful for in your life every day.

  3. Something that you’re good at doing
  4. Something that helps you relax
  5. Something you learned about recently

#05 Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

I think that anything that you’re struggling with, such as public speaking, you might need to give yourself a chance of trying new things that you’re scared of until you become comfortable of doing them. You can start conversations with strangers, join a new club or start a difficult task. Even things don’t work out as you expected, you learn something new and valuable from the experience.

In conclusion, we’re capable of living the best life we possibly can. We learn to understand our temperament and accept our weakness. We start to set our daily habits and routines to keep us focused.
